What is pinpointer and where is good of it in metal detecting

It’s a mini metal detector with small detection depth. Absence of discrimination and ability to operate in static mode. Minimal settings. Some pinpointers are fully submersible in water.

In metal detecting the number of finds always depends on the time. Very often you may waste much of it when digging out the small finds. The small size doesn’t enable to get the find out on the first try, so you have to divide the dug soil into portions and to check each of them by turn. The pinpointer greatly reduces this time.

I’ll put in my two pennyworth. The pinpointer is a perfect assistant in metal detecting. Having tried to go hunting with it you get used very quickly, this unit really saves time.
