Minelab EQX 11 DD

Minelab EQX 15 DD coil (compared to EQX 11 DD). Feedback

Minelab call their coils for the Equinox detector as “smart”. However, the manufacturer clearly didn’t expect that hobby enthusiasts would put their neat piece of work first thing in the x-ray machine. I want so much to believe that the word smart is not just defence against manufacturers of aftermarket coils, and not yet another marketing trick in order to slap an extra $300 on top of their coil’s price. By the way, have you seen how much the coils for the Minelab Equinox 600 and Minelab Equinox 800 cost? Check it out and you’ll respect great and mighty Minelab again. Continue reading

Comparison: Nokta Anfibio Multi vs Minelab Equinox. Depth test

Here’s a red hot depth test: the Nokta Anfibio Multi vs Minelab Equinox 800 comparison. These two are the real giants attracting huge interest from metal detector users. And if Fisher doesn’t release its smart machine (at a price tag up to $999) until spring, sure as hell these two only will become the favorites of the upcoming 2019 season. Continue reading

In-line filter for Minelab Equinox coil. A good thing?

The Minelab Equinox owners have come up with a suggestion – to add an in-line filter to the coil cable. This poses two questions at once: how can this filter help you increase the amount of good finds? And, if it really works, why don’t other machines have this thing yet? Dear expert metal detector users, please give us your opinions about the viability of this improvement to help our readers decide – whether or not they should put such dirt-cheap filters on their devices or, the other way around, should avoid wasting time on a fool’s errand. Minelab Equinox Coil X-Ray. Is it really the half of machine?

Minelab called their Equinox coils ‘smart’, and basically these ones stand for the half of the detector itself. I need hardly say that such coil will cost a considerable amount, and you shouldn’t be surprised… It’s interesting, of course, what Minelab are saying but the truth can’t be hidden anyway. I just want to ask, “Really, are you serious about that, Minelab?” So let’s take a look at the cool pictures: an x-ray coil for the new Minelab Equinox. Continue reading

Minelab Equinox 800 in Ground Depth Test. Is it a revolution?

Here’s testing the ground depth while using the Minelab Equinox 800 with an EQX 11 DD coil. And this machine has no choice but to show revolutionary results – Minelab’s promise given obliges them to stand by their words now. Oh, I am really on tiptoes with eagerness to try the new Equinox 800 and surpass some poor fellow with his miserable Garrett AT Max or third-rate XP Deus! Ain’t that right, Minelab? I will easily make mincemeat of them, won’t I? Continue reading
