Opening the XP Deus (remote control, circuit board)

In comparison with the Minelab CTX 3030, the electronic components of the XP Deus are at the calculator level. How is that possible? Just look at it! It’s beyond my understanding how the XP Deus could become a top metal detector.

  • With the Deus, the detection capabilities are done with the electronics embedded in each coil along with the actual coil winding. The remote and headphones just facilitate settings, audio and display. Think of it, even the tiny ws4 puck can be used instead of the remote. On every other detector the coil is just two windings of wire in epoxy, and the control box has all the electronics.
