Garrett is ready to reveal its new metal detector. Are you expecting it? At present it’s just an announcement. A new product will be shown on May 6, 2017. They promise a full-featured machine with still greater detection depth…
The new Garrett AT PRO 2 (a ‘rough’ name, it does not necessarily mean that the unit will have the very same one) will presumably take its place among metal detectors of pro class. It’s precisely known that the device will have a built-in wireless Garrett Z-Lynk module and will be able to withstand submersion. As soon as the new machine is launched, a Garrett GTI 2500 metal detector will be discontinued.

I spoke with a Garrett representative and he said he knew nothing about the GTI 2500 being discontinued. Neither could he say anything about the new metal detector.

Where is Garrett’s New Detector for May 6th, 2017? The announcement is suppose to be today.

I have booked holidays for July 21st and wanted to take two weeks of metal detecting different beaches in southern Ontario…The AT Pro has everything I need without overkill but I am thinking that I need to postpone my vacation if this detector isn’t going to be released…Anyone know of the actual release date?
