Here’s Minelab Explorer 2 modification. The lower shaft has been transformed into a seesaw. It is assumed that this method allows users to switch quickly between the standard and sniper coils while searching.
And here’s another example of a metal detector with two coils. This option assumes searching with these ones simultaneously. There are 2 coils and 2 control boxes on one shaft.
