Here’s a new product 2018 – GP Pointer 2 TRX SHRXY. Can you give us your expert opinion on whether this probe is a fake copied-in-China White’s TRX? Or does it simply look like the pinpointer from the American manufacturer and it’s a random coincidence? And another thing I have wondered about: the novelty looks better that the original! • They also copy the bad points. Led light on all the time. Running battery down

  • I bought 6 of them and….
1.It is unstable in wet soil.
2.terracotta, Brick and pottery fragment can be detected!!!!
3.some units is just go off when moving in the air.
4.some unit switch is not working.

  • THANK YOU

  • I have the GP Pointer 1 $20. on ebay and the SHRXY GP Pointer 2 $33. Aliexpress . I am happy with both units. I have dipped my GP1 in the ocean on multiple occasions to clean it off and it’s still working like a champ. I have not had a chance to use the GP2 at the coast yet but it has worked well inland in the dirt. I get about 3″ of depth with both ,maybe a little more with the GP2.

  • These were ok, I got a bunch and they all worked well. I got some when they very first came out for like $14 shipped, they were after reviews or didn’t understand the currency difference. Pluss that SHRXY brand had a small lineup of cheap detector accessories. They had a larger duffle bag that I wish I would have snagged a couple more of. Pretty decent finds bag, harness for swinging so long as you were not too big for it. They didn’t take into account that some off us in the US are giants in comparison. It fit me fine but I am not fat, just tall, so no complaints. They had a dumb drop leg holster for the pinpointer, it was sold as tactical so, stupid or even so stupid, plus it had a pocket that you would think was for finds but the sides were not sown all way down. But for the cost of shipping, I did get almost one off everything they offered. It didn’t take long for the prices to go up. They were the ones that put out that all metal folded over digger with the paracord handle that they sold as “can double as a spear”. LOL. Anyway, I was glad I kept two of the pinpointers. I have a few of the different Chinese pinpointers and I still like those better than others. I have soaked them, but I did seal them for getting wet. I use my Garrett when not in the water, and a vibraprobe when deep.
