French manufacturer XP Metal Detectors is preparing to unveil a new metal detector—the XP ICON 7X. The first photos are available. This is exactly what you’ve been waiting for from XP, isn’t it?
The new metal detector will be multi-frequency (XP FMF technology, with the ability to use both multi-frequency mode and search on a single frequency). Wireless (wireless coil, wireless headphones from the XP series). The detector features adjustable metal discrimination with a quick-switch button for All Metals mode, a classic VDI range (1-10 for ferrous metals and 11-99 for non-ferrous metals). The audio response is customizable. Iron Volume function. Ground balance. Adjustable signal processing speed. Built-in battery. USB-C charging. The XP ICON 7X (XP RCICON) can be connected to a computer. Firmware updates.
Built-in speaker. The new metal detector has a standard mount compatible with XP Deus / XP Deus II shafts. Important clarification: the XP ICON 7X housing is not designed for underwater use, only for land-based searches.
Information is being updated…

There is speculation that this will be a series of XP ICON detectors, such as XP ICON 1X, XP ICON 5X, XP ICON 7X, XP ICON 9X…
The sale of the new metal detector is scheduled for late 2025 (November-December). Will anyone be interested in the price?
What is the price?
There’s no secret here for anyone. In which segment is XP Metal the weakest? That’s right—cheap metal detectors. Not the ones that cost around $100, as manufacturers don’t make any profit on them, and for the French, that’s not a business. But the ones like Nokta Score and Minelab Vanquish. The price will be in this range (plus/minus).
Most likely, there will be an ADDITION to the price. Well, you know those French )))))))))
What is the function of the lock icon??? What could it be? Keypad lock?
You forgot to mention Pinpoint.
Is this option available?
Maybe there is a button for this?
Where did you see the Pinpoint mode? I see a combined Accept and Ground Balance button.
