Nokta Anfibio recovery speed test (depth, salt). NEW 2018

Just look at this coil! The French XP ORX machine wasn’t the only novelty introduced at Detectival 2018, the UK metal detecting rally. Nokta, the Turkish manufacturer, have revealed their own new device – Nokta Anfibio. In sober fact, some of the units were distributed among the bloggers before, and by now, on the day of the presentation itself, we already have several video reviews and tests. Well, how do you like the Turkish idea of getting the bloggers onboard? So, here comes a new product – a Nokta Anfibio metal detector. Please share your thoughts on this device in the comments below. Feel free to write about your own experiences and ideas. Continue reading

A great comparison of metal detectors: saltwater test

Minelab Equinox, Quest PRO, Makro Multi Kruzer, XP Deus, Garrett AT MAX, and others…

Comparison: Minelab Equinox 800 vs Excalibur 2. Salt Test (depth)

Minelab may thank themselves for that. Why did they announce the Minelab Equinox as a revolutionary product? Now they are getting what they deserve – any beeping rod is ‘keen’ to overtop the new product at least somehow. And believe me, there are machines that will be able to do it. Here’s an interesting test: what will happen if you take a waterproof Minelab Excalibur 2, a good device designed for hunting in saltwater, and see how deep it is in salt sand compared to the Minelab Equinox 800. Which detector will have greater depth and better detection abilities? Continue reading

Minelab Equinox 800 Depth Test on beach sand

Three months have passed since you knew about the arrival of the revolutionary Minelab Equinox. For today, there is only one thing we can say for sure – the Minelab Equinox is better than the Garrett ACE 250. All the rest is in question. There aren’t any key factors even for the Minelab X-Terra 705 owners to get rid of their machines and urgently buy the Equinox units. But if you own such device as the Minelab Safari or a higher level one, you shouldn’t be distressed about the Equinox at all (Minelab officially described the Minelab Equinox abilities as the ones between the X-Terra and Safari detectors). Here’s an interesting and rather rare depth test performed on sand. Using: the Minelab Equinox 800 with a stock coil. Continue reading

Minelab Equinox 800 Salt Test (sand & saltwater)

The Minelab Equinox 800’s fate depends significantly on its ability to work in salt sand and water. As if it’s impossible to hunt because of false signals, who will be pleased to own such a versatile machine? Here’s a Minelab Equinox 800 salt sand/water test to watch. Continue reading
