In my opinion, the Minelab X-Terra as a platform is nearly 10 years old already. As for electronics, it’s a venerable age. Watch the video: a Minelab X-Terra 705 recovery speed test.
I own both the Garrett AT PRO and Minelab X-Terra 705. And I’ve got enough experience with both of them. When in the X-Terra vs AT PRO dispute I usually gave a slight advantage to the Minelab. But after jumping over the nails and coin, my confidence in the X-Terra 705 weakened. The AT PRO is cooler.
The XP Deus, Makro Racer and low-end Bounty Hunter VLF2 cope perfectly well with this task. The Garrett AT PRO has a secret. Well, and cheap machines… for not much money – what can be demanded from them (for example, Minelab Go-Find 20)?
